Here we go.  Another post about how fast life is cruising along these days.  Seriously. Half of 2017 is already gone! And I never even got a chance to write down my New Year’s Resolutions yet.

So where have I been this year.  To a lot of weddings (Juliet, Carli, Wendi). To a lot of graduations. To a lot of swim meets.  And Christine and I spent over 4 months completely renovating our kitchen, laundry room and half bath.  By ourselves.  Yep.  That’s where I was.

As far as physical activity, it has been a crap shoot.  I was running a couple of times a week before the kitchen eliminated that activity. I have been making it to the gym and lifting weights 3 to 4 times a week. Of course I am also going to physical therapy for a left shoulder issue which makes lifting exciting. Other than that, I am just trying to beat the clock that seems to be traveling faster than the Speed of Life.

With all the unpredictability in life these days, I have found myself unable to commit to a certain race or event.  Which is weird for me.  In the past 12-13 years, I would think of a race, sign up for it, and then try to figure out how I was going to survive it. But right now, I do not want to tie myself to any fixed goal because we have a lot going on.

So I decided to write down my Mid Year Goals to give me something to shoot for in the next 6 months.  You can see them below.

Actually, you can’t.  I am not one of those souls who have to publish their goals so others can keep them accountable. I have enough multiple personalities that maintain a residence in my brain who “motivate” me enough.  And since they never shut up, I should be fine.

But I will make a deal with you. When I do accomplish each of the five goals, I will write a post and show you proof. It’s the least I can do.

Until then, I need to get to work.
