It’s Father’s Day, so I figured I would relay a few things I learned from my dad.
- There are many levels of having patience. Some levels wear thin quicker than others.
- Wake up early. Get the job done. Provide for your family.
- You can be mad at someone and still walk through fire to help them. Like and Love are two different concepts.
- You can bark all you want as long as you are ready to follow through with a little bite if needed.
- Respect is earned not demanded.
- A parent’s “No” actually has a lot more words behind them that are usually left unsaid.
- When you say, “leave me alone”, sometimes it means “LEAVE ME ALONE“. Sometimes it doesn’t.
- When playing trading punches with your dad, heed his warning that the next one will put you on your ass.
- Stand by your wife through whatever comes your way and whomever gets in your way.
- “If I hear one more peep” is not a game played while driving across the country with 4 kids.
Thanks Pop & Happy Father’s Day!
