Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day, so I figured I would relay a few things I learned from my dad.

  1. There are many levels of having patience.  Some levels wear thin quicker than others.
  2. Wake up early.  Get the job done.  Provide for your family.
  3. You can be mad at someone and still walk through fire to help them.  Like and Love are two different concepts.
  4. You can bark all you want as long as you are ready to follow through with a little bite if needed.
  5. Respect is earned not demanded.
  6. A parent’s “No” actually has a lot more words behind them that are usually left unsaid.
  7. When you say, “leave me alone”, sometimes it means “LEAVE ME ALONE“.  Sometimes it doesn’t.
  8. When playing trading punches with your dad, heed his warning that the next one will put you on your ass.
  9. Stand by your wife through whatever comes your way and whomever gets in your way.
  10. “If I hear one more peep” is not a game played while driving across the country with 4 kids.

Thanks Pop & Happy Father’s Day!
